We had another successful cribbage tournament this afternoon at the Vashon Eagles. Eight players completed nine action-packed games! We even had a visitor come all the way from North Seattle to play with us today. That visitor, Paul Peterson, took first place, emptied our pockets, and went back to the mainland. Congratulations to Paul! Second place was taken by that cribbage master....Arlyn Teed! Arlyn scored back-to-back skunks against a couple of her opponents. Congratulations Arlyn! (For those of you keeping track of our games, you know that this is NOT Arlyn's first time "in the money".) Cindy Grenville took third place today, despite racking up a skunk on her scoresheet. Our newest club member, Ray Mielbrecht, found himself in fourth place today, Ray won over half of his games today. And Ray played in and won the closest game of the day after leaving Steve Wennstrom in the stink hole! It doesn't get any more exciting than that! Congratulations and WELCOME to our club Ray!! Now don't go feeling too sad for Steve. Just prior to getting left in the stink hole, Steve skunked his prior opponent by 57 points! OUCH! The $5 CHICKEN POT went to Jim Ranstrom, after the chicken slipped through the hands of several other players who also scored 24 hands. Congratulations.....again.....Jim! Today's GOOD SPORT AWARD goes to Huck Davidson. Despite facing unkind cards all afternoon, Huck still went home with a smile on his face! Better luck next time Huck! If it's Saturday at 1 pm, it's CRIBBAGE at the Vashon Eagles! JOIN THE FUN! Mike (206) 930-1379 [email protected]
