FINAL RESULTS
While verifying and cross-checking the scorecards, it was discovered that two players claimed a win against each other. "If both cards record a win or if both cards record a loss, with spread points in the same column it is a loss for both players, and the spreadpoints are moved to the negative column" As a result, Robin ended up in 3rd Place and Harley William Miedemamoved up into 2nd Place! (We will square up with you next week Harley William Miedema, since you have another $10 coming to you.) For the record: Stephanie Marotta, in the last game of the day, got the FIRST 24-HAND and ended the day holding THE CHICKEN. No other specialty hands were claimed today. NEXT WEEK we will be playing at some other venue, location to be determined. Stay tuned!

Today we welcomed first-timer GEORGIANNE FIORINI. You can tell from her scorecard that she knows the game of cribbage! Join us again soon Georgianne! We also celebrated the GRAND SLAM that JULIA BICK earned two weeks ago and awarded her with a certificate and a pin. CONGRATULATIONS JULIA! Cindy Grenville is still just FIVE (5) points away from earning her BRONZE, and Julia Bick only needs 42 more Grass Roots points to earn her BRONZE. And there are still SIX weeks to go, so it's very possible they will BOTH reach BRONZE this year! For the record: Stephanie Marotta held the FIRST 24-HAND Mike Sudduth ended the day holding THE CHICKEN No other specialty hands were claimed today. Our THANKS to the Vashon Senior Center for providing a dry place to play today. Next week we return to the Vashon Eagles. We welcomed Richard Franklin Moore as our newest club member!
Today's results: JULIA BICK held a 6-7-8-A-A and cleaned out the (what else) RAGGEDY JULIA DANIEL HAAG scored the FIRST 24-HAND and never let THE CHICKEN go. No other specialty hands were claimed today. NOTE: We will NOT be playing next Saturday, in part because of a conflict at the Eagles and in part because folks will be busy with Easter. So we will figure out a date when we can make it up. We have no more Saturdays free, so it will likely be a double-tournament.....playing nine games in the morning and nine games in the afternoon. We welcomed RACHEL today and, as is our custom, sent her home with some money in her pocket. We do hope you'll join us again real soon Rachel ! Today's FINAL results: MIKE SUDDUTH held a 6-7-8-2-2 and cleaned out the RAGGEDY ANDY Stephanie Marotta held the FIRST 24-HAND (at my expense I might add) and it was the only one of the day, so she ended the day holding THE CHICKEN Cindy Grenville is now only 5 points away from reaching the BRONZE level (again, at my expense I might add) No other specialty hands were claimed today, so the DIRECTOR'S AWARD will be worth $160 next week! Today’s cribbage results
CONGRATULATIONS to RON BOTH for claiming the DIRECTOR’S AWARD, worth $150, with his 7-7-7-7-A (in the crib no less). Ron has selected the 3-3-3-3-9 as the new DIRECTOR’S AWARD. What was different about today’s tournament was….we didn’t have a single regular player present. (Robin’s name is listed, but she left, so I filled in for her.) And the guests went home with all of the money! Visitor BILL KLEM held a 6-7-8-A-A and cleaned out the RAGGEDY JULIA GENE DAVIS held a 6-7-8-2-2 and cleaned out the RAGGEDY ANDY KIM PEARMAIN (aka “She-Kim”) held the FIRST 24-HAND DEVYN PRIME ended the day holding THE CHICKEN Mark, Krystanne, Sylvia and Devyn all became dues-paying members today and each went home with a new travel cribbage board, courtesy of our club. If it’s Saturday at one…it’s CRIBBAGE at the Eagles! Hopefully we'll see you today at one! |
