The day started with Jim offering to add his own $5 prize pot, so our odds were even that much better to go home with some prize money. Jim's prize would go to the first RAGGEDY ANN of the day. I added a $5 prize pot for the first 24-HAND of the day, which Karen quickly claimed in the first round. And we had the usual $5 CHICKEN POT for the last 24-hand of the day. The CHICKEN briefly tried to lay an egg in Arlyn's lap, but Jim snatched it away and wouldn't let go of it for the rest of the day. What I found interesting was the fierceness of the ladies at the table. After losing game 1 to Steve (by a mere 15 points), Karen took her frustrations out on Julia by skunking her. Arlyn then skunked Karen, but Julia turned around and skunked Arlyn. Karen struck back and skunked Cindy. So Cindy took it out on Arlyn and skunked her in their final game of the day. All the while, Steve and Jim and I quietly racked up game points to end the day in third, second, and first place...respectively. At the end of the day everyone went home still friends, and we will sit across from one another next weekend for another fun afternoon playing one of America's favorite games...CRIBBAGE! Oh...nobody claimed Jim's RAGGEDY ANN prize, so that will roll over to next week. (THANKS for your generosity Jim!) We will have the usual $5 CHICKEN POT, AND if you are lucky enough to have ANY of these following hands, you'll get to claim a $5 prize! RAGGEDY ANDY 18 hand 22 hand 23 hand Crib Flush 4-of-a-Kind Royal Ann I have attached a paper that describes each one of these hands so you'll know what to look for next Saturday. If you can't open the file, don't worry! I'll bring a copy with me on Saturday. If it's Saturday at 1...it's CRIBBAGE at the Eagles! Mike (206) 930-1379 [email protected]
