For the record: Dave McCoy also held the FIRST 24-HAND and the ONLY 24-HAND. Nobody held a 23-hand, a 6-7-8-A-A or a 6-7-8-2-2. Steve Wennstrom emptied the SKUNK POT out. And check out this video that I dusted off from my video archives. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fdeZscfuI1E Check out the final scores below for Karen and Dennis. They shared THIRD PLACE!

For the record:
CINDY GRENVILLE took the FIRST 24-HAND KAREN KEIL held a 6-7-8-2-2 and cleaned out the RAGGEDY ANDY I ended the day holding THE CHICKEN NO Raggedy Julia (6-7-8-A-A) and NO Director’s Award (23-hand) today I have room for one more person if you’re interested in joining Cindy and Harley and myself tomorrow at the Puyallup Regional Grass Roots Tournament. Meet us at the Burton Store at 6:50 am or meet us on the 7:10 Tahlequah ferry. (Please call me or email me and let me know you’ve decided to join us so that we don’t leave without you.) We welcomed a first time visitor JERRY SAWYER. He seemed to enjoy himself, and I’m betting we’ll be seeing more of him in the future! We also welcomed David Hoffmann back. We haven’t see David since last spring! Remember that I’ve been saying spread points DO matter? David beat me out by 17 spread points! Go David! DANA LAZARE held the FIRST 24-HAND SANDY EUSTICE was the one holding THE CHICKEN at the end of the day. KURT LYSEN emptied out the SKUNK POT. And nobody held a 23-hand, the Raggedy Julia (6-7-8-A-A) nor the Raggedy Andy (6-7-8-2-2), so those three pots roll over to next week. The Puyallup REGIONAL Grass Roots tournament is one week from tomorrow, and I have room for two more passengers. If you miss this event, you will have another opportunity to enter your “official” Regional GR tournament at our own being held on December 3rd. (see UPCOMING TOURNAMENTS page for details) Finally, did I already mention this? We welcomed Kim Pearmain back. Kim played with us this past summer. For the record: KURT LYSEN held the FIRST 24-HAND RUTH ADAMS held a 6-7-8-A-A and cleaned out the RAGGEDY JULIA pot. I went home with THE CHICKEN And nobody held a 23-HAND and nobody held a 6-7-8-2-2, so the DIRECTOR’S AWARD and the RAGGEDY ANDY are safe for one more week. I forgot to mention that GEORGE EUSTICE emptied out the SKUNK POT today. With a -135 net spread total, George thought for sure that had to be a club record. Not even close George! We enjoyed the return of our friends from Kitsap Peninsula, as well as a visit from Jules England who had joined us last month at the Puyallup Fair! For the record: HARLEY MIEDEMA scored the FIRST 24-HAND TUCKER LAZARE emptied out the RAGGEDY JULIA (6-7-8-A-A) STEVE WENNSTROM was holding THE CHICKEN at the end of the day The DIRECTOR’S AWARD is safe for another week, despite the fact that a 23-Hand WAS held today. Unfortunately it was DENNIS MISENAR who held it, and he wasn’t eligible for that prize. Sorry Dennis! NEXT WEEK: We will be returning to the Vashon Eagles and resume our regular schedule. |
