We enjoyed a visit from Tucker’s friend LAURA ENGLAND! A real ray of SUNSHINE! We hope you’ll join us again soon Laura!
And don’t forget, our next regular weekly Grass Roots tournament won’t be until April 7th.
Next Saturday is our Grass Roots National Tournament. 18 games against 18 players. Doors open at 8 for donuts and coffee at the Vashon Eagles. Tournament starts at 9:00.
FOR THE RECORD:
SANDY EUSTICE held the FIRST 24-HAND
KURT LYSEN ended the day holding THE CHICKEN
STEVE WENNSTROM held a 6-7-8-A-A and emptied out the RAGGEDY JULIA (see me next week for your winnings Steve)
LAURA ENGLAND emptied out the SKUNK POT
LEW HARDY joined the club today as our newest member, and hit the jackpot! Welcome Lew!
I also want to thank each of you for doing your part in making our club a group effort. You help set up tables, bring goodies, put things away, haul bags out to my car, make our visitors feel welcome, and do many other thankless jobs to keep things running like clockwork.
And always without being asked.
Now, for the record:
KURT LYSEN scored the FIRST 24-HAND
DANA LAZARE took today’s DIRECTOR’S AWARD
SANDY EUSTICE was holding THE CHICKEN at the end of the day.
STEVE WENNSTROM emptied out today’s SKUNK POT.
Again, SORRY FOR THE DELAY in posting these results.
For the record:
DAVE McCOY emptied out the RAGGEDY JULIA
TUCKER LAZARE scored the FIRST 24-HAND and grabbed THE CHICKEN
MIKE SUDDUTH held a 5-5-5-J-J and took the DIRECTOR’S AWARD
KIM PEARMAIN was holding THE CHICKEN at the end of the day
REMINDER: I will be going down to play in the Chehalis Grass Roots National Tournament next Sunday (March 18th). I have room for three passengers if anyone wants to join me.
We welcomed our dear friend KATHARINE GOLDING back to the game! It has been way too long!
We also welcomed back JIM ROSEVEARE from Colorado.
And LEW HARDY is starting to become a part of our group.
For the record:
KURT LYSEN hit 2-for-1 when he held a 3-3-3-3 and a 9 got cut, qualifying him for the FIRST 24-HAND as well as the DIRECTOR’S AWARD.
RAY MIELBRECHT was the person holding THE CHICKEN at the end of the day.
DAVE McCOY emptied out the RAGGEDY JULIA with his 6-7-8-A-A
Nobody held a 6-7-8-2-2, so the RAGGEDY ANDY continues to grow.
And finally, TUCKER LAZARE emptied out the SKUNK POT!
